Looking for a well located and very cool hotel in Milan? Mathew and I tried one that you would certainly like too.
Booking hotels wherever it is is always a challenge. Between the location, the interior, the facilities and the budget, there’s a lot of criteria to take into account. Thankfully, we found a great deal here!
Even though we never spend that much time in hotel rooms – because the goal of any trip is obviously to discover the city, not the bedroom hahah -, it remains very important to me to have something a minimum comfortable and the most clean possible.
As for this room, it totally fulfilled the contract. 😉 The deco was modern and original, it was perfectly clean, spacious, in a calm area… Just perfect! Moreover, we had bathrobes and slippers to go to the spa and quality shower/body products. Couldn’t have asked for more!
When I first saw photos of the spa on internet, I fell in love with the atmosphere haha! And when we went discovering it in real, I fell in love a second time. The decoration is amazing!! Just look at the pictures! You can’t see everything on the pics, but the spa area is actually composed of a pool, a hammam, a sauna and several ‘beds’. For the foodies, there’s also tea, nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruit at your disposal in case you’re a bit hungry. 😉
In addition to that, it wasn’t crowded at all (we went at around 5pm) and some music was playing, which made it so relaxing. We didn’t try any massage though, but really enjoyed spending time in the hammam, swimming in the pool and simply lazing on a ‘bed’ with a cup of mint tea! It was perfect to refresh us after having spent hours walking in the city.
The hotel as a whole
When we were looking for hotels, I directly noticed the decoration of the Boscolo. It looked modern and different; it looked fun! We weren’t disappointed when we arrived, because it was actually beautiful and modern and different and fun haha. What’s more, the staff was really nice to us, as well as helpful.
For the little story, the concierge service helped us book a table for Valentine’s day. It was only one day before the D day and we hadn’t planned anything in advance since it’s not a celebration we really care about – we still used it as an excuse to eat well hihi -. So you must have guessed that the majority of the restaurants were fully booked… Shame on us haha! But they did everything to get us a table at one of the restaurants they recommended and we really appreciated the gesture and also where we ate!
I’m not used to 5 star hotels, so when we discovered little attentions such as chocolates on our night table every evening, I was always so happy haha. It was great! 😀
Finally, we didn’t try the restaurants and neither had breakfast there, because we wanted to discover places in the city, so I obviously can’t tell you how it is. We unfortunately didn’t go on the terrasse either, because it was February, so it was cold. But I’ve seen and heard that is has a nice view on the Duomo.
Let me know if you need more info about it!
Lots of luv’
