A great breakfast place in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milano

Looking for a nice spot to have breakfast in Milan? I have something for you!

You’re looking for a nice place with THE perfect decoration and in THE perfect location? Motta Milano 1928, located in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, is the place to go!

I had seen a lot of people having a coffee at the bar of Motta from the street, so the day after, when we were looking for a place to have a quick breakfast before wandering in Milan, I thought we could try to go there. I didn’t know what to expect. I honestly thought that there was only a bar and that it was a kind of self service café. But absolutely not!

The interior

Do I really have to explain why I loved the interior? 😛 I mean.. look at the photos haha!
I am personally a huge fan of this style. It’s colorful, there are some gold touches, the furnitures are a bit retro. I’m really in love with the decoration. It makes me think of a “Gatsby” style, what do you think?

What’s more, I love eating in nice places, it makes me enjoy the meal/drink/whateveeeeer haha even more! And for the instagrammer, I guess the settings make it a perfect photo place!

The hot chocolate

I’m a hot chocolate lover. If you know me, you already knew that 😉 . And honestly, the best hot chocolate I ever had were in Italy. So I obviously had high expectations when I ordered one here and let me tell you that it was amazingly good! Hot chocolate : more than approved!

The food

Mathew had two croissants, a regular one and one with jam inside and apparently they were both really good! I hardly ever eat in the morning and I knew I would be full with my hot chocolate, so I didn’t eat, but you can trust Mathew’s tastes 😉
As for the rest, the breakfast menu offers a big diversity of pastries, warm beverages and other, which I find great, since everyone has a chance to get something they love.

So, first thing first : it’s not a self, you can be served. There wasn’t a lot of people and we were served quite quickly, but I’d like to precise that even though we went there during the weekend -I guess you can expect it’s fuller during this periode- it was early in the morning. I suppose that if you go later or for lunch, it’s fuller and you consequently have to wait longer; but we didn’t experience it when we were there, which was great!

So yeah, to sum up : we really loved it! 🙂

If you have any other question, let me know in the comments!

Lots of luv’
Pauline ♡
